| If you feel like a lowly paid manager who's working too hard and not a business owner, then these tips will help you organise your business and become an owner again |
| Business Automation is a necessity if you want to grow a successful business. It’s a process which means installing systems in your business so you have less admin to worry about, less things to remember and more focus on driving sales. |
|
| With experience and creativity, we’re able to spot time consuming problems you didn’t know you have and turn them into simple processes that take seconds to complete. Often, they can be removed completely. Here are some of the most common problems we face and a solution for it. Every business is different but this should give you an idea about the kinds of things we look for. |
Problem:
"Our customer details are all over the place" |
Solution:
When you first start out, you don’t need a CRM or customer database but at some point in time, you do need it. Unfortunately, you may learn things the hard way. Losing phone numbers, having to ask twice for contact details and trying to remember what scrap of paper you wrote the prospect’s phone number down on are the symptoms. The solution is to install a customer database that anyone in your business can use. This becomes the hub of your business. |

|
Solution:
The first thing we do is notice the amount of paper that's being stored and passed around. This reveals how much time you waste when using paper to pass on tasks. 9 times out of 10, this doesn’t need to be paper and can be done with the push of a button, or at the very least, a templated email. |
Problem:
"Too much paperwork and lost information"
|
 |
|
Problem:
"Not having a proper sales proces."
|
Solution:
When you meet a customer for the first time, do you have a set of questions you ask them? If not then you need what business professionals call a “needs analysis”. In layman's terms it’s simply making sure you ask all the right questions so you don’t have to guess or ask them later. We’ll define your sales process and help you educate your staff on what it is. |
 |
|
Solution:
In this day and age, it’s a crime to forget to do something, especially if it’s something like emailing a client or promising a callback. We implement a reminder system which is synced with your team’s email accounts and mobile phones and is run from your customer database. |
Problem:
"Forgetting things"
|
 |
|
Problem:
"Having bits in your job you don’t like"
|
Solution:
Try to keep a diary for a couple of week s and at the end identify the top 3 recurrent most time consuming tasks. We then think about the way we can help you automate all these time-consuming tasks. |

Solution:
How many times have you said “There aren’t enough hours in the day”?. Look, Richard Branson has the same 24 hours you do, how come he can launch an airline in 3 months? The biggest time sucker is meetings. They are absolutely toxic! We’ve got a little plan to get you out of meetings and phonecalls which you don’t think are necessary. This alone will free you up more than you realise. |
Problem:
"Not enough hours in the day"

|
Problem:
"Sales have stopped growing"
|
Solution:
Do you realise most small businesses do less than 2 marketing campaigns a year? Less than 2! The biggest reason for this is the sheer amount of time that goes into it. With the newfound time you’ll have, this should be a breeze. We’ve even got some awesome tips and tricks on how to get great campaigns out without it taking all your time and money. |

When we come into a business, we usually take one of two routes. They both have the same discovery process to identify the problems, but it’s the execution that changes.
Small businesses who need a little guidance and organising:
- Investigate your business proceses and optimise them
- Set you up with AddBook to organise your customers and business
- Set up SignBase for you to automate and systemise your sales process and contract signing
- Recommend tools to help you
For businesses who have reached the glass ceiling, we investigate the following and build a custom web-based system to automate it all:
- Sales process
- Where you store your customer details
- Reporting
- Productivity of staff and directors
- Installing a reminder system to keep people productive
- Team collaboration
- Online backup and storage
- Syncing with all your desktop and mobile devices
- Customer complaints

We’d worked with Sussex Music for a year or so before they presented us with a bunch of challenges they were having in their business. I’ve written about how we helped them in detail but the summary of the story is we came up with a solution for each and every problem they had, completely removed paper from the business and re-organised the business so Ben and Rob, the Directors could run the business from a beach somewhere if they wanted. |

| Tim Coe from Hands-On Properties had a similar issue, but his was mainly about storing the process of his sales as it typically lasted months. He spent all his days trawling through emails to find information. He can now see exactly where any of his sales are at a second’s notice. We’ve also built an entire new layer where his introducers can see where in the process the sales are that they’ve referred. The video is quite old but Tim talks about his experience of using our business. |
