Why You Should Use Web Based Software

A little story… I was in Tenerife enjoying a nice 4 week break from the day-to-day of business (yet it kept running as if I was there), and the phone rang while at dinner. It was the Police. They told me my apartment had been broken into and looked like the place had been robbed. I couldn’t help but feel relieved that my family hadn’t been butchered or something. I lost two TVs, two games consoles, two of our computers, a server and all my DVDs. While the TV’s and games consoles being stolen were annoying, they were certainly replaceable.Read the rest of this story…

Some Things I Use To Run Advantix

Here’s a post about some of the tools I use to run Advantix. These are almost all web-based tools but some are a little random. Anyway, Lets deeeww eeeett! Customer Database: We use our own software – shock horror! We use AddBook to store info about our customers and it works just as well now as we thought it would. It’s allowed us to be much better at marketing and sell more stuff which is almost always the goal. The bit where you are saying “hi” to people. This is what the page looked like when I’d finished: To me, it looked cooler having the nextRead the rest of this story…

“I don’t expect to hear from you again unless the email contains a £ sign!”

As some of you know, we have a digital signature app called SignBase. It wasn’t always called SignBase though, it was once called ‘Docusign’. The purpose of this post is to explain the legal issues around domain names and help prevent you from making similar mistakes when choosing product names. The Story: After watching one of the Transformers movies, we were down to two names: MegaSign and OptimusSign. We’d almost gone with optimus when Sabrina found ‘DocuSign.co.uk’ was available. I wanted a .com but after 4 weeks of faffing, I didn’t care anymore and snapped it up. We built theRead the rest of this story…
